Today I began to realise what a monumental task this is. I would have to be glued to my laptop for a large part of my day, considering that I’ve been sleeping a lot. It seems that the only way that I can find time to do things like reading and watching movies is if I take a break from other things.

I mean, it’s quite alright if I don’t have anything to do for the day, but it can be quite frustrating when I’m busy and have things planned for the day but still have some writing to do. Yesterday I made the calculation that in order to achieve this goal, I need to write approximately 1,600 words per day. Of course, I’m aiming for higher so hopefully I can finish this earlier.

If only I can work like that... Sadly, I hate writing outside my home.
At the risk of sounding too pessimistic, I do think that writing takes a lot away from a normal life- you don’t get to socialise much and you don’t see a lot of people. You just have your trusted laptop and mind. And it doesn’t help that I can only write in private, I absolutely cannot imagine going to a cafĂ© to write.

I now understand why writers seek other writers- only writers would understand the lack of a social life one has. Do you agree?

go to the cafe with your headset!

Ugh, 1600 words a day? Dang, I don't think I can keep up. I have only like less than 30 minutes a day man.
