Junk

This is Tara and John, the directors of MSN. We would like to sincerely apologize for the interruption, but msn is closing down. We know many of these messages have been sent out lately, and that they wouldn't be true. However, this one is in fact true, and it will occur soon.

MSN will begin to charge you money soon. This is due to the fact that too many inconsiderate people are taking up all the names (ie. making up lots of different accounts for just one person). Therefore, we only have 578 names left. If you would like to close your account, DO NOT SEND THIS MESSAGE ON. We would not reccommend this, because if in the future you'd like to use MSN, and you don't send this message on, you will be CHARGED to use MSN monthly. If you would like to keep your account, then SEND THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST. As we said this before, this is no joke, and we will be shutting down the servers. Please send it on. We do not want to be receiving phone calls stating that your MSN will not open, or that you are being charged for using it - because this will be your fautly for not sending it on. The estimated cost for MSN monthly will be about ten dollars CAN.

SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST. NOW YOU
KNOW WHAT TO DO.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR
ATTENTION. In case you believed this is yet another of those 'prank' MSN shut down emails, go to:

http://news. bbc.co.uk/ 1/hi/business/ 1189119.stm

Once you've sent this message to at least 18 contacts, your msn icon will become blue.

Regards,
Tara and John
(Directors and Operators of MSN.com, Hotmail, Windows Live Hotmail, etc)

I just received the above email. TWICE.

And it made me wonder. True, there's a BBC news report on it. Although after reading the report, I don't see a connection with the email at all. And, the article didn't say that we have to forward it to people so that our 'MSN icon will turn blue'. I for one, don't believe it. Why do we need to forward it to people? I think it's total crap. I'm thinking someone is probably just taking advantage of the situation. I can actually dedicate one whole post to talk about why it's crap.

So if you can't send me an email out of a sudden, you'll know that's because I didn't forward it to all my contacts.

Another similar scam e-mail I hate getting is those that tells you MSN is closing down and you need to forward it to a certain amount of people to let them know that you're still using the account. If MSN really is closing down, they would send an email personally to users, wouldn't they. And it won't be from friends, it'll be from 'Windows Live Hotmail'. So I really don't get why people are forwarding those crap. And besides, the service is free, so I'm sure our emails aren't confidential anyway, so they would know when I send an email. So why can't they use that as a reference? Wouldn't it be a better way to see who's active and who's not? After all, an inactive user can just forward it then not use the account.

I for one have been deleting these mails for a long long time.

Another mail I hate seeing is chain mail. Whereby they'll start by telling a tragic story about someone getting killed, and then you've got to forward this to a certain amount of people, otherwise you'll meet your own death? I used to forward it but when a friend told me it's crap, I gave it a try. And have been deleting these mails since. And guess what? I trumped more than 20 (I think!) chain mails, coz I'm still alive and kicking!

I've also started deleting those mails in which some person who's really sick needs some money, and when you forward the mail they will get some. I started deleting them when I received one that I had forwarded many years ago, and I'm thinking 'This sick person can't still need the money'. I mean, it's been years! If they're as sick as they claim, they would've been dead.

I just realised how many things I have to do when I'm chatting with friends.

Next week I'll have to hand in 2 assignments, and I have a listening test for English. Not to mention I just worked super hard for one assignment this week.

Then the following week is my finals, and also a report for one of my assignments, which is actually an assignment itself.

I know that it's not as bad as many people out there, but it is kinda hectic for me. I keep telling people "my semester's ending already!" and they will say "so fast?"

I know I definitely would not be so busy had this semester been longer.

For some reason, I've been feeling more tired this week. Although I get the same amount of sleep, I would feel tired even when I reach college.

What can I say. I guess I'm still adjusting to the hectic college life.

Global Warming!

The world is heating up!

More and more people are getting sick. Any hotter and we'll melt.

We found this room... and couldn't prevent ourselves from camwhoring.

So as usual, preventive measures must be taken.

1. Drink more water!

In McDonald's, after college.

H20 is very, very precious. We homo sapiens need a lot of water for our survival. Plus, it's common knowledge that our body's mainly water.

2. Get closer to nature

A scene from my assignment =)

Plants create oxygen during the day. So it makes sense to plant more greenery around, and also stay close to them!!!

College!

3. Lose a clothing item

Another scene from my assignment

It's so hot, I think it's fine if we lose one or two articles of clothing, eh? Just make sure you don't add more heat to the Earth.

When all else fails, beg Mother Nature for forgiveness.

When a fire broke out in the building. Needless to say we couldn't resist camwhoring.

After all, we wouldn't want to end up sprawled on the ground, with a wooden item on top of us.

No, I shan't post a pic that comes with the above statement. But Yong Bin would get what I'm trying to remind him of =)

Searching...

Okay I'm totally out of ideas to write about. So I looked back at the pictures in my computer and guess what? A thought came to my mind that I can blog about!

Last year, my alma mater had a reading camp. Basically, participants read books. What an interesting way to promote reading, eh?

Anyway, we were given bright orange-coloured T-shirts. After that, students basically wore that tee for every school activity.

So one day, there was a trip to Petrosains, some chocolate factory and Eye on Malaysia. We were asked to wear that shirt.

And then I realised something when I saw this picture.

The entire compound's filled with orange-coloured people! I imagine we must have stood out. I mean, just look at the picture. Everywhere, everywhere, is a person with an orange tee!

And then this occurred to me.

I just created a post out of crap.

I mean, I just blabbed and blabbed and blabbed out pure nonsense, which probably doesn't even make sense, and it's one entire post. Just words and a few pictures.

Ahhh. And an idea for a future post just came to my mind. I must be getting my blogging mood back.

Do you enjoy holidays as I do?

Days when you can sleep late, wake up late and just do whatever you want?

Ever since I've started school I've always enjoyed holidays. I can't remember when I wanted a rest day or period to be shortened so I can continue with my studies.

I have no idea why I have this liking for holidays. Maybe it's because I just need an escape from everyday life. Actually I don't hate my everyday life, it's just that I just want a break from it sometimes. I mean, doing something repeatedly can be awfully tiring, right? But then again, I guess there are some people out there who just love to work or study.

I don't think I'll ever understand them.

Slow down, lie down
Remember it's just you and me
Don't sell out, bow out
Remember how this used to be
I just want you closer, is that alright?
Baby let's get closer, tonight

Grant my last request and just let me hold you, don't shrug your shoulders
Lay down beside me
Sure I can accept that we're going nowhere
But one last time let's go there
Lay down beside me

I've found that I'm bound to wander down that long way road
And I realize all about your lies,
But I'm no wiser than the fool that I was before.
I just want you closer, is that alright?
Baby let's get closer, tonight.

I got this link from bin's blog... Now this is what I call a personality test, not one so transparent that I can tell what personality I am before even clicking on submit.

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Your views on education
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:
Success in your career is not the most important thing in life. You are content with what you have and think that being with someone you love is more than spending all of your precious time just working.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Who is your true self:
You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

The Artist

You love freedom and want to follow your heart's desires. You might not be at your best when dealing with other people. Once you are given the opportunity to work your chosen way, your gift will shine. A tip for you is not to concentrate too much on your own work, but widen your focus and consider the opinions of other people.

But I'm wondering. Obviously there are some poeple whose moods change as fast as a blink of an eye, but are there people whose opinion and perception of you change as quickly?

Here's a random thought. I just had a very interesting lecture today, on 'Conflict and Negotiation'. It was seriously interesting. It must be the first lesson I didn't feel sleepy.. at least until the end of the lesson. And the ironic thing about it all? When I came home I found a conflict in front of my eyes. Possibly involving me.

I'm A Narcissist Sometimes

Guess what guess what?!?! Tatt Fai told me that my alma mater has a website!!!

That's not all. If you click on 'Image Gallery' you'll see a whole list of pictures. There's only 3 pictures of last year's Majlis Anugerah Kokurikulum, and the first one, the one found on the top bar, the right most, is none other than

ME.

Damn effin cool right!!!

Okay I know it's total coincidence that I was sitting in front, but at least let me brag about it. I mean, how often does one get to be honoured in this way? I mean WOW! How often do you get to be featured on your former school's website?

I can't believe I'm even posting this when I have an IT exam tomorrow. So, chow people!
