What happened this week in school is just not nice.

In my other blog that I share with friends, I typed it out. And in the midst of it, I got emotional. That is, angry, angry, angry. So I’ll do myself a favour and NOT describe the whole thing.

But I now know that in life, backstabbing is inevitable, and it happens at all stages, sometimes from the least expected source. The only thing we can do is to prepare ourselves for the fights that will ensue.

Hey … Already read everything on the other site …
Gone are the days when you can just talk to me huh ? Hahaha .. Anyway hang in there bu , I know that you’re such a responsible person so it’s their problem , not yours mah … All this pengakap stuff is just nonsense , if the troop leader keeps doing this , especially near the exams , I think you should just tell him off or quit . Seriously , this is the only time when I think you do have a very very good reason to quit !
That prefect acted really unreasonably , seniors are seniors and I don’t think anyone has ever challenged a suspension like this in our time . Well , serves her right in the end .
Bu , no matter what happens , make a choice and stick with it - before you choose to quit , think it over a few more times because it’s not that easy to be in the position you’re in now . After that , if you still decide to quit , then don’t look back . Just remember that no matter what , you’ll have me here .
Ce

Ce: it’s because of the constraints mah… i can’t tell you everything over the phone as it’s expensive… but if you’re back here i’m sure you won’t be able to rest!
No, i’m not going to quit just yet. i have 2 choices actually:
1) quit and hope the next secretary is no better, or
2) hang in there and show that i have what it takes
for now, i’m taking the 2nd one.
for the prefect matter, yes she’s very unreasonable but like you said, serves her right!
i know that you’ll always stand by me, just like i’ll do the same for you.

The title might be misleading.

Today I realised that I’ve gotten less interested in reading. As I had some free time today, the first thought that came to my mind was to grab the book I’m currently reading. Yet, the next thought was to abandon it and find something else to do.

I’m sure it’s only temporary. And I can also think of a few reasons. First, of course, is the stress from school. I’m actually not feeling stressed from schoolwork but from my commitments in the co-curricular activities. I just keep getting more and more things to do. If only I can forgo one or two of them.

Another reason I can think of is the arrival of the new TV. It just came on Saturday. It’s a 32″ LCD TV, with a home theatre system. So, which person is not craving to set their eyes on it after being reduced to a 15″ one for nearly a year?!?! Now I’m just waiting for Astro to arrive. Then, I shall be happy, happy, happy!

Of course, I must remember not to get carried away. I realise that a few years ago, I might have watched the TV for one whole day, but now that I’m older I have more priorities and responsibilities. I know that I have to work hard for my SPM. So, I know that I have to monitor my viewing habit.

A close friend of mine left for Australia yesterday. I heard that it was a teary affair. Sabriel, if you’re reading this, do cheer up!

With her furthering her studies now, I know that soon, it’ll be my turn. It’s just a couple of years more. But I daresay I’ll have a slight edge compared to my sister because I saw her going through it all!

All the same, I can’t wait for the day to come when I will relish savouring every word off a book.

Ce Says: February 19, 2008 at 9:22 pm

Wow , another time someone beat me to the comment box !Haha , slight edge compared to me ? Cheh …Seriously though , I don’t think you’ll have much problems with it my brother … You’ve proven time and again that you can do it and I’m so proud of the way you’ve grown up .Yeah , I bet that new TV is interesting and I can’t believe we’re finally getting Astro . Hey , remember to study and not just watch TV lah .Why the sudden loss of interest in reading ? It’s a great way to relax and I think you’re not interested maybe because you don’t have a book that you’re just not into . Take a break from reading then , and soon you will relish turning the pages of a book again .Reading your post , I’m slowly realizing that you’ve grown up so much during these 2 years that I’m away from home . Keep doing what you’re doing and believe in yourself my brother . Soon it will be your turn as you said , and after that we’ll be living our separate lives .

mayz: thanks!
ce: oh well, you’ll have to be faster next time! you cannot imagine how stressful it is okay! i barely have time for myself. i shouldn’t have joined so many clubs. but now that i have, i don’t wanna quit as i have a chance of getting A for co-cu.
the new tv’s definitely interesting but sadly, i don’t have much time to enjoy it… it’s all seem to be about time, eh? dy said that astro’ll make the tv clearer… i’m not sure whether it’s true but i’m not complaining!

Today I’m smarter. I recorded what my Moral teacher said.

She said that when a student plays truant or lepaks, when they’re asked whose fault it is, it’s very obvious- the teacher’s!

But when you look at it from a different perspective, actually it’s the student’s fault for not entering class. Can be true but what if the teacher can make the whole class doze off?

I thought about it. True, we students are partly at fault here. But you can’t put ALL the blame on us! After all, it’s the teachers’ duty to make sure we enter school and absorb as much knowledge as we can! Yet some don’t even bother teaching. Others just rush as they want to finish the syllabus in time.

I think that it is blatantly unfair to say that it’s all our fault. We’ve tried our best to listen in class but sometimes the teachers teach too fast! As for playing truant, it could be because of the amount of pressure that’s been given. Some of us, just want freedom.

Oh-oh.

Writer’s block! Now I can’t think of how to continue.

Shall have to wait till the next post…

I have no time to type out a long post this time. I actually wanted to, but considering the amount of homework I have, I simply can’t.

I have 4 Moral ‘Tugasan Harian’s and 2 ‘Kerja Amal’s to complete, not to mention, History exercise, Biology notes, scout reports, Add Maths, BM…

I seem to be unable to pull myself out of this web of procrastination. Deadline’s next week so hopefully, I’ll be clear by then!

I had a Moral lesson today. My Moral teacher is very opinionated. Today she gave yet another one.

She said that when we graduate from colleges like Taylor’s, we shouldn’t go around saying “I’m a Taylor’s graduate!”. Instead, we should be thankful to our kindergarten teachers for teaching us our ABCs. If not, we wouldn’t even be in Taylor’s. Our primary teachers should be thanked for helping us in our UPSR. Our secondary teachers helped us in our PMR and SPM.

I never thought about it. All these while, I just wanted to leave quickly. Now that I reflect back on what she’d said, I think it’s true.

What are we without our kindergarten teachers?

I changed the look of the blog again.

I also realised something. Since I have a blog in Wordpress and Blogger, I find that blogger’s actually easier to use! And also, I odn’t think I can change the colour of the words. So maybe I should switch to Blogger. But then, I’ll miss all the posts that I’ve written here. Oh well. I’m in such a dilemma.

Also today I realised that while most of us students are in a holiday mood, our teachers aren’t there yet. They aren’t letting us off the hook, and gave us homework. I’m lucky today as a few teachers aren’t around. Hopefully the same can be said of tomorrow. Then I can enjoy my Chinese New Year more. After all, I already have lots of homework to bring back to complete!

Ahh, finally. The long awaited holidays.

So far, there’s only been one day holidays. Now I’m going to be free for 6 days! I’m delighted. Of course, this year’s New Year’s a little different. Before this, I never brought back any homework from school. But this year, I’ll have to make an exception as I’ve still got work to do!

I”m down with cold and a slightly sore throat so I’m hoping that I can recover in time for the celebrations. I must have ate too much of the fried nga-ku. Now I’ve learnt my lesson. In order to stay fit for the Chinese New Year, I musn’t eat too many heaty food. At least, I should wait till the celebrations come. Otherwise, I’ll only fall sick and be unhappy when everyone’s rejoicing.

I just cut my hair yesterday and now I look weird. Seriously! Next month I’ll have to tell the hairdresser properly. It seems that no matter how I put it, she NEVER understands me. She always gets things wrong. And I’m the one who has to endure it all. Oh well. I’ve learnt from my mistake now. You must be very specific with hairdressers. One word less and you’ll emerge a freak.

But above it all, I’m glad to get a break from school.
